Curious about how fine hand-painted silk scarves are made? Love the idea of painting color, but don't know where to begin? Join me for a morning of easy, straightforward instruction in the ancient art of silk painting! All supplies are included in the cost of the workshop, and in the end you'll have a completed work of art on silk! I prepare 6-8 different designs on the silk ahead of time, so think of this class as a hybrid of coloring Easter eggs and painting a coloring book page. You'll choose the design you want to paint when you arrive for class, and I'm there to help you every step of the way with guidance about color theory, mixing your dyes, and giving you some tips and insider secrets for turning out a great piece of silk on your first try! It's a fun, stress-free and unique way to spend your Saturday morning. Classes are limited to just 6 students insuring you get individual attention when you need it. The project is designed to allow you to complete your silk painting in under three hours, but extra time will be allowed if you need it. This is also a great way to make a special gift for someone, and the experience can be given as a gift too.
